ABOUT THE LAB

Research in the Zhang lab focuses on integrative mining and framework development from sequencing data generated on high throughput techniques in tumor immune characterization, drug response and resistance:

1.Cancer Immunogenomics   Systematic analyses of omics-level data in the tumor microenvironment to explore immune-tumor interaction with the goal of enabling the discovery and development of more effective anti-tumor immunotherapy.

2.Single Cell Atlas of Immunity   To create comprehensive reference maps of all human immune cells by using single-cell sequencing an spatial omics technologies as a basis for both understanding human health and diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases.

3. AI in Metagenomics   Exploring the human microbiome using large-scale metagenomics to characterize the composition, dynamics, variation, and function of microbiome, with emerging insights into how this data can be utilized for diagnostic and therapeutic benefit.
